Senior Java Backend Developer with GCP Expertise

We are seeking a Senior Java Backend Developer with strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to join our multinational client dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing high-performance backend solutions within a cloud-native environment. Location: Warsaw (Hybrid - 3 days onsite per week)

Employment Type: B2B Contract

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performance backend applications using Java.
• Leverage Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services to build cloud-native applications.
• Implement microservices architecture and ensure efficient integration between services.
• Optimize application performance, security, and reliability.
• Work closely with DevOps teams to ensure CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including frontend developers and product managers, to deliver robust solutions.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues in a timely manner.
• Ensure adherence to best coding practices, design patterns, and industry standards.

Qualifications and Experience:

• 8+ years of experience in Java backend development.
• Strong knowledge of Java 11+, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including services like Cloud Run, Cloud Functions.
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration tools.
• Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.).
• Familiarity with event-driven architecture and messaging systems (Kafka, Pub/Sub).
• Experience working in an agile development environment.
• Strong understanding of security best practices in cloud applications.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD) and infrastructure as code (Terraform).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
