🚀 Senior AWS DevOps / Platform Engineer

📍 Remote (Poland) | Occasional visits to Warsaw

💰 Rate: up to 1,500 PLN/day

We are looking for an experienced Senior AWS DevOps Engineer to join a highly scalable fintech environment. The role combines platform engineering, CI/CD modernization, cloud infrastructure, and production reliability, working closely with global engineering teams.

You will support and evolve mission-critical systems used across international business units, ensuring high availability, security, and continuous delivery excellence.

💡 Your Mission

☁️ Cloud & Platform Engineering

• Design, build, and maintain scalable AWS-based infrastructure.

• Ensure high availability, resilience, and performance of distributed systems.

• Work with modern cloud-native architectures and microservices platforms.

⚙️ CI/CD & Automation

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using:

  • Jenkins

  • GitLab CI

  • Azure DevOps

  • GitHub Actions

• Migrate and improve legacy deployment pipelines.

• Implement GitOps and automation best practices.

🧱 Infrastructure as Code

• Provision and manage infrastructure using:

  • Terraform

  • CloudFormation

  • ARM templates (where applicable)

• Standardize infrastructure provisioning across environments.

📦 Containers & Orchestration

• Deploy and manage containerized workloads using Docker.

• Work with Kubernetes (EKS preferred).

• Support scaling, rollout strategies, and cluster optimization.

📊 Monitoring & Observability

• Implement monitoring and alerting solutions using:

  • Prometheus

  • Grafana

  • ELK / OpenSearch

  • Datadog

  • CloudWatch

• Improve system visibility and proactive incident detection.

🚨 Production Support (SRE mindset)

• Support production environments and ensure system stability.

• Participate in incident management and root cause analysis.

• Improve MTTR and system reliability through automation.

• Drive SRE practices (SLI / SLO / SLA).

🔐 Security & Compliance

• Apply security best practices in cloud environments.

• Support secrets management, encryption, and access control.

• Work in a regulated fintech environment (compliance-aware engineering).

🎯 Must-Have Skills

✔️ 7+ years of experience in DevOps / Platform Engineering / SRE

✔️ Strong hands-on experience with:

• AWS (core services + networking)

• Kubernetes (preferably EKS)

• Docker

✔️ CI/CD tooling:

• Jenkins / GitLab CI / Azure DevOps / GitHub Actions

✔️ Infrastructure as Code:

• Terraform (must-have)

• CloudFormation or ARM templates (nice to have)

✔️ Scripting:

• Python and/or Bash

✔️ Strong experience with:

• Monitoring & observability tools

• Production support environments

• Incident response & troubleshooting

✔️ Understanding of:

• Distributed systems

• Microservices architectures

• High availability systems

• Experience in fintech, banking or payment systems

• GitOps (ArgoCD or similar)

• Linux administration

• Security tooling (OWASP, scanning, secrets management)

• Experience with Java-based systems

• Cloud certifications (AWS / Azure)
