SAP Ariba Functional Consultant

We are seeking an experienced SAP Ariba Functional Consultant with 10+ years of expertise to assist with the setup of Ariba Guided Sourcing and Contracting for a renowned customer in retail. The project involves implementing Ariba solutions on a Greenfield basis for a major global retailer. The focus will be on establishing a suitable standard sourcing and contracting process for indirect spend across multiple levels of purchasing organizations, including international, national, and regional scopes.

Ariba Guided Buying is in the rollout phase and continuously evolving, requiring a consultant to work closely with internal stakeholders, assess requirements, and ensure the feasibility and effectiveness of the solution. The primary goal is to establish a common standard for all purchasing companies.

Rate: 500-600 EUR/day

Location:

• Initially, the project will require occasional onsite in Essen, followed by remote work for the remainder of the project.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement Ariba Guided Sourcing and/or Contracting solutions from scratch (Greenfield implementation).
• Provide advice on setting up a suitable indirect spend standard process at international, national, and regional levels.
• Conduct workshops with the customer’s internal stakeholders to assess requirements and feasibility of the solution for various purchasing organizational units.
• Offer consulting support, focusing on the effective implementation of Ariba solutions within the client's purchasing structure.
• Collaborate closely with key stakeholders to evaluate and address the feasibility of sourcing and contracting processes.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in SAP Ariba Sourcing and Contracting implementation.
• Extensive experience in Ariba Upstream solutions.
• Proven track record of Greenfield implementations and expertise in advising on indirect spend processes.
• Experience in consulting and working with international, national, and regional purchasing organizations.
• Ability to provide guidance on standard processes that align with the client’s overall procurement strategy.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate requirements into actionable solutions.
