Principal Full-Stack Developer (Java) - (HX/TK)

Dear Consultant,

We are seeking a Principal Full-Stack Java Developer with strong backend and database engineering experience. You will design and build cloud-native applications, support data modelling, manage database structures, and collaborate with distributed teams to deliver high-performance systems.

This is a hands-on technical role with strong emphasis on full-stack engineering, backend development, and SQL/data optimisation.

Key Responsibilities

(Note: Responsibilities mirror the Cloud Native Lead role, but at a full-stack ownership level)

Application Development

• Build and enhance full-stack applications using Java, Go, Python

• Develop cloud-ready microservices and backend systems

• Work with GCP SDKs and cloud components

Database Architecture & Development

• Design and create database structures, tables, relationships

• Build stored procedures, views, functions

• Perform SQL optimisation and complex DB programming

• Support data migration, ETL/Import/Export activities

Database Operations & Security

• Perform database admin tasks: security, backups, optimisation

• Ensure regulatory compliance for sensitive data

• Support disaster recovery preparation

Team Collaboration

• Work with engineers, architects, UI/UX teams and stakeholders

• Translate business data needs into technical solutions

• Communicate database and backend logic effectively

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience in Java, Python, Go

• Experience building cloud-native applications

• Strong SQL/database development experience

• MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or SQL Server

• Experience with microservices architecture

• GCP experience preferred

• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication abilities
