Manual Tester (API Focus)- remote Poland

We are seeking an experienced Manual QA Engineer with strong expertise in API testing to join our clients distributed testing team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in manual testing across domains, preferably within the financial sector, along with strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. This role requires ownership, adaptability, and the ability to work effectively in an Agile environment with cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities

• Perform manual testing of applications across different platforms and domains, ensuring functional accuracy and quality.

• Execute API testing to validate request/response handling, integrations, and system interactions.

• Analyze requirements, create and execute test cases, and ensure comprehensive coverage.

• Use defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla) and test management tools (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr).

• Write and execute SQL queries (including complex statements) for test data validation and backend verification.

• Work within Agile/Scrum teams, actively participating in sprint activities.

• Maintain detailed test documentation and contribute to knowledge-sharing within the QA team.

• Identify issues proactively, provide feedback, and suggest improvements to processes.

Mandatory Skills

• 5+ years of experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer.

• Proven background in manual testing with hands-on API testing experience.

• Strong SQL knowledge for writing and analyzing complex queries.

• Proficiency with defect tracking tools (Jira, Bugzilla) and test management systems (TestRail, Zephyr).

• Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and SDLC.

• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Curiosity, adaptability, and a proactive problem-solving mindset.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with Python (for test automation or scripting).

• Exposure to OpenAI or prompt engineering concepts.

• Familiarity with data warehouses and cloud platforms (e.g., Snowflake).

• Financial services or banking domain experience.
