🖥️ IIS Administrator – Remote
The IIS Administrator is responsible for providing L2/L3 operational support for Microsoft IIS web server environments, ensuring high availability, optimal performance, and security compliance of business-critical web applications.
This role involves advanced troubleshooting, automation, incident management, and close collaboration with application, network, and security teams.
📍 Location preference: Gdańsk or Warsaw – but fully remote is also open
🧠 Skills & Qualifications
Strong experience administering Microsoft IIS on Windows Server platforms (2012/2016/2019/2022)
In-depth understanding of IIS architecture and request processing
Hands-on experience with SSL/TLS certificate management and secure web configurations
Strong troubleshooting capabilities using:
IIS logs
Event Viewer
Performance Monitor
Memory dumps and debugging tools
Experience with performance tuning and optimization of IIS-hosted applications
Solid PowerShell scripting skills for automation and administration
Understanding of load balancing, DNS, and high-availability architectures
Working knowledge of Windows Server security hardening and patch management practices
⚙️ Key Responsibilities
Provide L2/L3 support for Microsoft IIS web servers, ensuring high availability and performance
Monitor and troubleshoot website, application pool, and server-level issues within SLA timelines
Perform advanced troubleshooting including log analysis, memory leaks, and performance bottlenecks
Configure and manage IIS components such as application pools, bindings, SSL certificates, and virtual directories
Deploy and support web applications, including configuration changes and environment setup
Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for critical incidents and implement permanent fixes
Manage server patching, upgrades, and security hardening as per compliance standards
Automate routine IIS tasks using PowerShell scripting
Support load balancing, DNS configurations, and integration with backend services
Maintain documentation (SOPs / runbooks) and support change & release management processes
