File Transmission Engineer (Axway/CFT Specialist)

We are seeking an experienced File Transmission Engineer specializing in CFT (Cross File Transfer) and Axway products. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and support of secure file transmission systems across internal and external client environments. You’ll work closely with global teams and partners to ensure the secure, efficient, and reliable transfer of files, supporting critical operations within a large multinational organization. Location: Remote in Romania with occasional visits to Timișoara

Contract Type: B2B Contract

Client: Multinational Organization

Language Requirement: Basic French (A2 Level)

Responsibilities:

• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Axway products for secure file transmission, ensuring system stability and reliability.
• Manage file transfers between internal/external clients and our client’s environment.
• Provide L2 and L3 support for Axway products (CFT, Sentinel, Secure Relay, etc.) and coordinate with stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Ensure 24/7 on-call support for critical issues in collaboration with a small specialized team.
• Optimize secure file transfer configurations, manage protocols (FTP, SFTP, FTPS, HTTP/S), and address any transmission issues.
• Collaborate effectively with international teams and external partners, ensuring smooth file transfer operations.
• Document procedures, processes, and troubleshooting guidelines using collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Maintain awareness of networking, security, and encryption concepts critical to secure data transmission.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a File Transmission Engineer or in a similar role, with in-depth knowledge of Axway products and CFT.
• Strong understanding of secure file transfer protocols and networking security principles.
• Experience with Axway Secure Transport, Gateway, and Secure Relay.
• Knowledge of Windows Server, Linux servers, and IBM Z & IBM I.
• Effective problem-solving skills, with strong analytical abilities.
• Team player with excellent communication skills, fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Familiarity with collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, and ServiceNow; Agile experience is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications in Axway products or related file transfer technologies.
• Experience in multinational environments and a proactive approach to managing multiple projects independently.
