We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Data Scientist to join their team remotely in Poland. This is an excellent opportunity to work on challenging projects, collaborate with industry experts, and make a real-world impact.
- Collaborate with airline and industry subject matter experts to identify opportunities for actionable insights and predict customer behavior and operations performance.
- Assess new data sources and advanced forecasting techniques for effectiveness and accuracy.
- Develop custom data models, algorithms, and proof-of-concept studies tailored to client needs.
- Enhance in-house algorithms using advanced statistical and machine learning tools.
- Work closely with software engineers to implement and test production-quality AI/ML model code.
- Create tools and processes for monitoring data accuracy and model performance.
- Demonstrate software to customers, perform value benchmarks, and calibrate solutions for their requirements.
- Train clients on software usage and maintenance while addressing feedback and resolving issues.
- Advanced Degree in Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Machine Learning.
- Proven ability to apply modeling and analytical skills to solve real-world problems.
- Strong knowledge of machine learning techniques (e.g., clustering, decision tree learning, neural networks) and statistical concepts (e.g., regression, distributions, statistical tests).
- Proficient in at least 2–3 of the following programming languages: R, SQL, Python, TensorFlow, PySpark, Java, JavaScript, or C++.
- Graduate-level knowledge of Revenue Management models and algorithms is a must-have.
- Experience deploying machine learning and statistical models on cloud platforms (minimum 4 out of 7 cloud-based deployments).
- Familiarity with airline, hospitality, or retail industries and their decision support systems.
- Experience with customer choice models, price elasticity estimation, and market potential estimation.
- Understanding of airline distribution, pricing, revenue management, NDC, and Offer/Order Management concepts.
