CM Architect (Java) Remote

We are looking for a Senior ECM Architect with strong Enterprise Content Management (ECM) experience and Java-based architecture exposure. The role focuses on designing, integrating, and scaling ECM platforms within large enterprise environments, ensuring performance, security, and compliance.

CM Architect (Java) –

Engagement Type: Contract (B2B)Start: Immediate

Work Model: Remote from EU + 1 onsite visit/month (Cracow, Poland)

Working Hours: 9:00–17:00 CET

Language: English (no other language required)

Key Responsibilities

• Define and maintain solution architecture for ECM platforms and integrations

• Design high-level architecture diagrams, frameworks, and technical standards

• Architect and oversee ECM workflows, ensuring scalability and performance

• Translate business requirements into robust ECM and Java-based solutions

• Lead ECM integrations using RESTful APIs and web services

• Establish best practices, coding standards, and architectural guidelines

• Conduct technical reviews, performance tuning, and risk assessments

• Lead HA, DR, migration, and upgrade strategies for ECM platforms

• Ensure compliance with security, data governance, and regulatory standards

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams

Required Skills & Experience

• 7–10+ years experience in software architecture & design

• Strong experience with ECM platforms, such as:

  • SER Doxis

  • Documentum

  • OpenText

  • Alfresco

• Java-based architecture experience (Java, Groovy)

• Strong understanding of ECM concepts:

  • Document lifecycle

  • Metadata

  • Retention & archiving

  • Compliance & governance

• Experience with:

  • RESTful APIs

  • JSON

  • Integration patterns & web services

• Strong SQL and database design knowledge

• Experience with High Availability (HA) and system upgrades

• Ability to lead teams and conduct architectural reviews

• Strong stakeholder management & communication skills

Nice to Have

• SER Doxis WebCube experience

• ECM migration or modernization programs

• Regulated enterprise environments

• Experience working in distributed / international teams
