zOS System Programmer

Responsibilities:

• Software lifecycle management: installation, upgrade, maintenance and replacement of software

• Exploring new product features which can benefit the customer as well as Atos

• Third line support in case of software errors

• Assist customers in using the software products

• Incident, change and problem handling

• Configuration and customization

• Setup of parameters

• Setup of customer dependent parts (e.g. user administration, product calendar, authorization matrix)

• Documenting

• Communication with customers and vendors

• Participation/contribution to technical projects

Requirements:

• In depth knowledge and understanding of z/OS and related product software z/OS - at least 10 years of experience

• Knowledge of software installation (SMP/E)

• Programming knowledge of REXX and JCL

• Knowledge of Sysplex, Parmlib, Proclib, and JES2

• Excellent communication skills in English

• Deep knowledge of z/VM, zLinux

Nice to have:

• Understanding of VTAM, TCP/IP, Enterprise Extenderz/OS

• IOCD/HCD configuration

• Knowledge of subsystems: DB2, IMS, CICS

• Dump analysis

• Performance tuning – RMF, SMF, Omegamon

• Virtualization technologies – zCX

• Mainframe modernization – ZOWE, Ansible

• Experience in migration projects – z/OS upgrade to z/OS 3.1, Sysplex migration

• z/OSMF – configuration and maintenance

• Security management – RACF and Top Secret
