Senior PMO Specialist

Responsibilities:

• Drive adoption of best practices in alignment with Technology Program and Project Manual

• Educate and support project managers to ensure full compliance with SDLC frameworks (Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid), with a strong focus on regulatory and compliance mandates

• Oversee coordination of multiple projects/programs across the Finance and Risk Technology portfolio

• Support technology leads and PMs in managing a diverse set of initiatives, ensuring timely delivery and strategic alignment

• Monitor and analyze key project metrics and KPIs to ensure progress and identify risks early

• Foster a culture of SDLC excellence and continuous improvement across the organization

• Maintain and enhance departmental/project policies and methodologies

• Mentor and train project managers, act as a subject matter expert (SME) on project governance

• Lead project closures, including post-implementation reviews and benefit realization assessments

• Manage release cycles, write and review project documentation, and coordinate administrative project tasks when required

• Collaborate closely with Business Enablement, Technology Leads, and Management Office to produce insightful financial and business reports, track key operational metrics, and support decision-making 

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Program/Project Management or PMO roles, with at least 2 years in a large-scale IT environment in a leadership or team management capacity

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, ideally in a STEM-related field

• PMP certification or equivalent (e.g., SAFe Agilist) is required

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to create dashboards, scorecards, and present KPIs effectively

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; able to clearly articulate complex issues to a wide range of stakeholders

• Highly self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently

• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

• Demonstrated experience influencing teams and managing across matrixed organizations

• Previous experience in the banking or financial services sector is strongly preferred
