Senior PMO Specialist
Responsibilities:
Drive adoption of best practices in alignment with Technology Program and Project Manual
Educate and support project managers to ensure full compliance with SDLC frameworks (Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid), with a strong focus on regulatory and compliance mandates
Oversee coordination of multiple projects/programs across the Finance and Risk Technology portfolio
Support technology leads and PMs in managing a diverse set of initiatives, ensuring timely delivery and strategic alignment
Monitor and analyze key project metrics and KPIs to ensure progress and identify risks early
Foster a culture of SDLC excellence and continuous improvement across the organization
Maintain and enhance departmental/project policies and methodologies
Mentor and train project managers, act as a subject matter expert (SME) on project governance
Lead project closures, including post-implementation reviews and benefit realization assessments
Manage release cycles, write and review project documentation, and coordinate administrative project tasks when required
Collaborate closely with Business Enablement, Technology Leads, and Management Office to produce insightful financial and business reports, track key operational metrics, and support decision-making
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Program/Project Management or PMO roles, with at least 2 years in a large-scale IT environment in a leadership or team management capacity
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, ideally in a STEM-related field
PMP certification or equivalent (e.g., SAFe Agilist) is required
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to create dashboards, scorecards, and present KPIs effectively
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; able to clearly articulate complex issues to a wide range of stakeholders
Highly self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Demonstrated experience influencing teams and managing across matrixed organizations
Previous experience in the banking or financial services sector is strongly preferred
