Senior IT Analyst

Senior IT Analyst

Hybrid work model: 3x per week work from the office, 2x per week work from home

Responsibilities:

• Maintain in-depth knowledge of assigned applications and ensure their stable operation in production environments

• Provide technical expertise and support when issues occur in production

• Analyse system logs, monitoring data, and other diagnostics to identify and resolve incidents

• Assess impact, coordinate with support teams, and ensure services are restored quickly and effectively

• Coordinate deployments of fixes, preventive changes, and minor enhancements

• Plan and schedule deployment activities while ensuring developers and testers have prepared the release correctly

• Verify successful deployments and ensure production stability after changes

• Collaborate with development teams during new projects or major system upgrades

• Review requirements and solution designs to ensure long-term maintainability

• Participate in go-live rehearsals, deployment planning, and production handover

• Take operational responsibility for applications once they are live in production

• Participate in root cause analysis following incidents and propose preventive measures

• Identify opportunities to improve production stability, monitoring, and operational efficiency

• Contribute to improvements in tools, processes, and operational practices

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in IT roles related to application support, production support, or IT analysis

• Previous experience in banking or financial services, ideally within payments processing or account management systems

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with experience supporting complex applications in production

• Working knowledge of Splunk for monitoring, log analysis, and troubleshooting

• Ability to work independently on complex technical problems within a defined platform or domain

• Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken)

• Continuous learning mindset and willingness to stay current with technologies and industry trends

Nice to have:

• Basic knowledge of SQL for querying and analysing data

• Familiarity with infrastructure or middleware technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, AppDynamics, Grafana, or PowerBI

• Experience with incident management, problem management, and change management, preferably within the ITIL framework

• Understanding of deployment processes, monitoring, and logging practices used to run critical production systems
