Lead Data Engineer (GCP + Pyspark)

Lead Data Engineer (GCP / PySpark)

Responsibilities:

• Acting as a technical lead / leading contributor in the Data Engineering area

• Organizing and structuring the team's work

• Removing day to day technical and process blockers

• Supporting the team in technical and architectural decision making

• Active communication with stakeholders and progress reporting

• Contribution to the migration of the data platform to GCP

Requirements:

• Experience in a Senior / Lead Data Engineer role

• Hands on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

• Strong knowledge of PySpark

• Experience in data engineering projects in a cloud environment

• Participation in data platform migrations (including migrations between technologies/environments)

• Knowledge of or experience in the following areas: CloudOps / DevOps, automation, CI/CD, reliability, observability (nice to have)

• Excellent communication skills – critical for this role

• English at minimum B2+ / C1 level (UK based client)
