Java Technical Lead

Java Technical Lead

Responsibilities:

1. Manage development team, guide and provide training to junior team members
2. Communicate efficiently within and outside the team
3. Facilitate architecture discussions and design decisions
4. Provide technical leadership on best practices for chosen architecture and technology
5. Design and develop distributed computing systems used by internal and external clients
6. Conduct code reviews for the team and have well establish standards and practices for the team
7. Identify issues and risks and proactively add to the iterative discussion
8. Work with business uses to address needs of scalability, testability, security, resiliency
9. Foster automation and support building CI/CD pipelines
10. Conduct technical research and provide recommendation as required, altering the recommended technology stack for the department and ensuring it’s up to date with latest industry standards
11. Develop employees by providing training, mentoring, appropriately challenging assignments and assistance with career planning.
12. Assist in the hiring process of qualified personnel

Requirements:

1. Minimum of 7-8 years of professional experience as a software engineer, in back-end or full-stack capacity
2. Minimum of 2 years in a technology lead position, being responsible for the system design and architecture or application delivery
3. Comfortable with Agile operating models
4. Excellent Communication skills, fluent English
5. Proven track record in designing large scale distributed systems with Java technologies
6. Experience with test and build automation using CI/CD pipelines
7. In-depth understanding the concepts of databases, popular Web frameworks, Enterprise Integrations concepts (queue, pub-sub, REST API)
8. Experience with microservice architecture
9. Core technical skill set include Java, Spring, SQL, Hibernate, Kafka
10. Familiarity with cloud technologies, knowledge of OpenShift (Docker, Kubernetes)
