JOB OFFERING

We are looking for a Data Engineer / Data Scientists who will be responsible for creation, development and management of processes for AI/ML data transformation and integration with use of Azure stack (Data Factory, ASQL and Synapse Analytics, Databricks). Data Engineer / Data Scientists will also work on monitoring, process analysis, performance tuning and cost optimization for new and existing solutions.

In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, architects, business analysts, testers and stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of various IT projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Creation, configuration, implementation and integration of Data Lakes, Data Warehouse or Lakehouse solutions with use of Azure technologies (Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL and Synapse Analytics, Databricks)

• Data processing and transformation of large datasets

• Designing and implementing data pipelines, data models and data integration solutions

• Performance tuning and cost optimization

• Building ELT and ETL processes

• Collecting and monitoring performance metrics, tuning performance of processes

• Identifying ways of improving the data quality and efficiency

• Refactoring code for currently existing solutions

• Proposing solution architecture based on cloud solutions

• Partnering with BI teams to define the best approach around data ingestion and data structures

• Creating AI/ML data models

REQUIREMENTS

• Experience:

  • 4+ years of experience in Data Engineering

  • Experience in Microsoft Fabric or Azure Data ecosystem (i.e. Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL and Synapse Analytics, Databricks)

  • Experience with data modelling and data integration

  • Knowledge in SQL (T-SQL or any other)

  • Problem-solving, analytical and critical thinking skills

  • Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies

  • Azure DevOps experience (Repos, Pipelines)

  • Good command of both written and spoken English (B2 level)

  • Work in Data Warehouse or Business Intelligence projects

  • Work with AI/ML models

  • Basic knowledge of MLOps

• Languages and tools:

  • Python and/or R, including pandas

  • SQL (basic)

  • Microsoft Fabric, including:

    • LakeHouse (Delta Tables)

    • Warehouse

    • Fabric Data Pipelines

    • Notebooks

  • Alternatively Azure and:

    • Azure Data Factory

    • ADLS (Data Lake)

    • Azure SQL

• Knowledge of ML models and data analysis:

  • EDA (Exploratory Data Analysis)

  • Regression

  • Classification and clustering

  • Time series and seasonal models

• Knowledge of DWH concepts:

  • Implementation of compliant data structures

  • Implementation of data flows (ELT)

  • Technical design of processes

Nice to have:

• Experience in Python or Scala programming

• Experience with Snowflake

• LLM models

• MCP
