Senior Data Product Lead with Data Governance

You will work on a data platform that provides unified customer and project views to support strategic decision making and synergy identification. The platform is built on Snowflake and is currently used in the United Kingdom with planned expansion across multiple European markets. The focus is on strengthening stakeholder alignment, improving data governance processes, and establishing clear product ownership to enable scalability.

Position overview

We are looking for a Senior Data Product Lead to establish product ownership and drive the evolution of two existing data products. The person in this role works closely with transformation leadership to strengthen stakeholder alignment, define business value use cases, and guide the platform’s expansion across European markets. This position involves navigating complex stakeholder environments, influencing decision making, and validating technical approaches when needed.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute a product vision and roadmap for customer and project data products

• Plan and drive adoption across operating companies through training and feedback cycles

• Build relationships with local leadership to overcome resistance to data sharing and API access

• Identify and prioritize business use cases across finance, supply chain, quality, sales, and operations

• Establish clear data governance processes and ownership models

• Collaborate with IT contributors on integration activities and performance improvements

• Support GDPR compliance efforts and data quality initiatives with legal and source system owners

• Review SQL and Python logic to validate proposed technical approaches

• Coordinate the European rollout beginning with Finland and define a federated ownership structure

• Track product value using metrics, business impact analysis, and executive reporting

Requirements

• Professional experience with three to five years in data product management or data program leadership

• Experience working with data products or analytics platforms in enterprise environments

• Strong stakeholder management in complex matrixed organizations

• Experience driving adoption of data tools in environments with resistance or cultural barriers

• Understanding of Snowflake or cloud data platforms including warehousing and data modeling concepts

• Ability to review SQL queries and Python scripts to understand data logic

• Familiarity with BI tools including Tableau, Power BI, and Looker

• Knowledge of data governance frameworks, data quality approaches, and GDPR requirements for UK and EU markets

Nice to have

• Experience with multi country or multi site data programs

• Experience working within federated operating models

• Familiarity with cross border compliance and data residency considerations

• Experience working as an embedded consultant in client environments or consultancies
