Project overview

By handling large volumes of data within a collaborative team, we are building a cutting-edge asset management system that adapts to market dynamics and directly supports global investment strategies. Team

The project team is a dynamic collaboration between DataArt and our client, comprising around 40 professionals. On the DataArt side, the team includes 30 members—a mix of skilled Business Analysts (BAs), Developers (DEVs), and Quality Assurance specialists (QAs)—who bring expertise in Agile processes and innovative solutions to the project. On the client side, the team consists of approximately 20 professionals, including Product Owners (POs), Technical Leads, and Developers, who work closely with us to ensure alignment with business goals and technical standards.

Position overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Business Analyst to support ongoing enhancements to our data and analytics platforms, which include work with large data volumes. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of SQL, as well as experience querying and analyzing data in relational databases. The BA will collaborate closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to gather and document requirements, manage Jira backlogs, and support Agile delivery processes.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and validate requirements for ongoing application enhancements

• Create clear, structured requirements documentation and user stories

• Query and analyze data in relational databases (MS SQL)

• Work with product and engineering teams to review upcoming and backlog Jira tickets

• Create and manage Jira tickets for new tasks and enhancements

• Support sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release planning activities

• Ensure alignment across business and technical teams throughout the development lifecycle

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience as a business analyst

• Understanding of business processes

• Financial services industry experience

• Extensive experience in querying and analyzing data in relational databases (MS SQL, Oracle, etc.)

• Ability to translate business needs into software and operational requirements, document and analyze requirements, and propose possible solutions

• Thorough understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Experience in facilitating effective interaction between the project team and the customer

• Participation in planning, dispute resolution, and risk evaluation

• Verifying implemented products as per requirements

• Highly motivated, self-driven, and able to work well independently and in a team
