IT&Data Product Owner (Marketing Data Domain)
As the global Product Owner of the Brand Growth Model, your product portfolio will be composed of:
BGM Data product(s): strategic datasets providing key information on Brands performance and insights, leveraging Marketing data assets from external vendors.
Your global mission will be to:
Define the vision, the strategy and the implementation roadmap for your BGM Data Products by liaising with global and local business partners and leading the technical delivery team.
Create critical enablers, such as the data ingestion framework, data quality framework, data governance.
Build Analytical tools and dashboards allowing insights creation.
As a Product Owner, you will be leading creation of Data Products for the Strategy & Insights Domain and will be part of the Data & Analytics (D&A) products team. Our vision is to harmonize and standardize Marketing processes and systems, accelerate performance through reliable data, robust insights, data driven and AI enabled decisions.
We are looking for a Product Owner to lead and work in partnership with business experts, and global and local data and technology teams to identify and implement solutions to meet the needs of evolving business. You will work closely with other D&A teams.
We are looking for a candidate who has a strong mix of both CPG Commercial/Marketing functional expertise and technical expertise in data management.
In this position you will be responsible for:
Strategic Leadership:
Data Mindset: driving the usage/adoption of the Brands Performance Domain data product(s) through underlying methodologies including usage of test & learn approach, user centricity, data & analytics and automation. Keep driven on the incremental sustainable business value. Together with the data owner, define the use cases, key issues to resolve and solutions related to Brand Performance data, including:
Sellout
Household Panel
Brand Health Tracker
Media spendings and share of voice
Product Testing
Social Listening
External Perspective: bringing the "outside-in" by identifying key partnerships with leading data and technology providers to bring industry’s best practices to Danone
Delivering Change:
Data product(s) delivery:
accountable for the delivery of data product capabilities (on time, in scope, on budget). Ensuring management of data product(s) through lifecycle. Coordinate with all data providers such as NielsenIQ, Circana, IQVIA, Kantar, IPSOS… ensuring the data is fit for purpose.
Strong partnership:
With the Global Business Data Owners
With external data providers.
Understand the local market context of Brand Performance data usage and needs to inform global design choices.
SSOT activation: responsible for the utilization of the Single Source of Truth strategy related to the Strategy & Insights domain
Promoting Data & Analytics: taking an active role in promoting and communicating about data products and data strategy across communication channels
Operational Excellence:
Scoping: ensuring scoping and functional design is delivered and supporting project squads with delivery of strategic projects with respect of agreed timelines and budget
Backlog: building and managing the backlog of requirements and prioritizing for development accordingly
MVPs: maximizing efficiency in a constantly evolving environment using Minimal Viable Product delivery, and rapid prototyping
Linking deliverables to vision: providing business context to the delivery team, empowering them to explore creative solutions, whilst simultaneously ensuring the team delivers against scope and time commitments
Value added: possessing a strong analytical background and ability to deliver value to end users
Communication: maintaining proximity and close connection with the business stakeholders, business Product Owner(s) and the delivery team to ensure strong cooperation and transparency in execution
Experience in developing innovative data solutions, agile ways of working, intellectual curiosity, and leading agile delivery teams are critical to enable you to be successful. Furthermore, it is important that you possess strong problem-solving skills and ability to logically analyze complex requirements or processes.
You will be a passionate and proven leader with the ability to gain business partner agreement, communicate confidently at both the technical and data team level, and collaborate with a wide variety of technical and non-technical teams.
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years experience in FMCG/Retail Data & Analytics
Proven track record of implementing data products related to the Marketing, Strategy & Insights domain
Ability to demonstrate a mix of technical skills and business processes knowledge and proven experience in rolling out a data product in multiple markets. Essential to have experience in managing the product use throughout all the stages of the product lifecycle
Experience working with data architects, data engineers, data analysts, data Viz developers, data owners, and data stewards in an agile framework. Expert knowledge and demonstrated abilities to lead squads and tribes with the ability to define user stories and prioritize backlog in accordance with the product vision
Knowledgeable on some of the following providers: NielsenIQ, Circana, Kantar, IQVIA, IPSOS…
Experience defining the data product vision, OKRs and managing a product backlog
Strong ability to connect and federate distinct stakeholders in a complex organization, managing stakeholders from Global, Local, Business and IT teams
General understanding of modern data strategies and solutions using cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, Google), Data Visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau…)
