AI Backend Engineer

Key information:

Salary:

• 30 000 – 38 000 PLN net/month- pure B2B contract
• 26 000 – 33 000 PLN net/month – B2B contract (days off included

Time Zone: Minimum overlap of 6 hours per day with the US Eastern Time Zone

You will be responsible for supporting our team in:

• leading the development of an AI-native system that extracts actionable insights from large volumes of market, trend, retail, and customer data;
• designing and implementing backend solutions;
• developing web scraping mechanisms;
• integrating Large Language Models (LLMs);
• model selection;
• collaborating with the team to create efficient and scalable infrastructure.

Technology stack:

• advanced proficiency in Python, with experience in backend frameworks such as FastAPI;
• familiarity with asyncio for asynchronous programming;
• experience integrating LLMs into applications;
• advanced proficiency in the latest RAG techniques and LLM eval methods;
• interest in developing single-agent and multi-agent workflows that can handle complex tasks;
• strong experience with PostgreSQL, including database design, optimization, and querying;
• hands-on experience with AWS services, particularly EC2, S3, ECS, and SQS;
• experience in Linux server configuration and management;
• proficiency in Bash scripting for automation and system maintenance;
• experience with Docker – familiarity with continuous integration and deployment practices using Git and related tools (preferably GitHub workflow).

Nice to have technologies:

• design and manage cloud infrastructure, including scaling, monitoring, and cost optimization.

It is vital that you have:

• proficient in backend development, frontend integration, lightweight infrastructure setup, relational and vector databases, and creating LLM functions;
• capable of building reliable systems with secure client-server communication that operate seamlessly;

• resourceful and Solution-Oriented;
• comfortable and effective in fast-paced, dynamic settings typical of startup environments;
• knowledge of English (min. B2);
• working in agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban);

• willing to travel if necessary (conferences, coworking events, etc.).
