Data Engineer

Are you an experienced Data Engineer eager to tackle new challenges in the manufacturing industry? Join our team to work on software for our business partner specializing in this field.

In this role, you will contribute to a newly built, international team developing sustainability-focused solutions. You’ll design and implement scalable backend systems, work with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions, and support data engineering processes using modern tools and frameworks. Your Daily Missions

• Build and optimize data solutions – Design and implement data ingestion, aggregation, and transformation pipelines, leveraging tools like Azure Data Factory, Databricks, or Synapse.
• Collaborate with a cross-functional team – Work closely with stakeholders, product owners, and developers from different backgrounds to create high-quality solutions that improve our operations.
• Champion best practices – Write clean, maintainable code (in Python or similar languages), advocate for SOLID principles, and guide less experienced team members.
• Bridge business needs with technical solutions – Convert abstract requirements into actionable steps, ensuring data models and workflows align with our sustainability goals.
• Handle diverse data tasks – From database schema design and ETL processes to designing APIs and integrating with real-time systems (Kafka, time-series databases,tc.).
• Contribute to a healthy culture – Participate in a supportive, international team environment, continuously improving our tools and methods.

The Essentials We’re Seeking

• Experience in Data Science with Python.
• Strong grasp of clean code principles (e.g., SOLID, YAGNI).
• Good knowledge of algorithms and data structures with ability to apply them to real-world problems.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Power Automate, Azure Functions, REST APIs, Dataverse, and Dynamics 365 (ODATA API).
• Experience with data engineering tools and frameworks like PySpark, Databricks, Synapse, or Microsoft Fabric.
• Knowledge of Kafka and time-series databases.
• Familiarity with modern microservices architecture and tools like CI/CD, automated testing, TDD, DDD, Docker, gRPC, and PostgreSQL.
• Proactive mindset with a strong problem-solving attitude.
• Fluency in English (minimum B2) to work in an international team.

Nice-to-haves

• Commercial experience in backend development using C# and .NET Core (latest versions).
• Interest or experience in Web3 technologies such as blockchain, smart contracts, or NFTs.
• Contributions to open-source projects (e.g., via GitHub).
