Solution Architect
This role focuses on architecting solutions for core application, integrations across MES, LIMS, ERP, and PLM systems, and reporting capabilities. You will bridge business needs and technical design, defining data structures and system capabilities to enable GxP-compliant solutions.
Success requires strong analytical and architectural thinking combined with excellent collaboration skills across global time zones. The ideal candidate is structured, outcome-focused, and thrives in complex stakeholder environments while maintaining constructive team dynamics.
Candidates must be able to regularly overlap with US working hours, including recurring late afternoon/evening CET meetings which regularly go till 7PM CET.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and document solution architectures related to core application, integrations across MES, LIMS, ERP, and PLM systems, and reporting capabilities ensuring GxP compliance and data interoperability
Define data models, interface specifications, and integration patterns that bridge business requirements with technical implementation across all solution domains
Create architecture decision records, and technical documentation for PKM configurations, integration solutions, and reporting requirements
Facilitate alignment between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring shared understanding of architectural design, data flows, and system capabilities
Lead architecture reviews, solution validation activities, and support testing of PKM, integration, and reporting deliverables
Drive continuous improvement of solution standards, architectural patterns, and best practices
Qualifications:
7-10 years of experience as Solution Architect in a pharmaceutical or GxP-regulated environment
Hands-on understanding of SQL databases, relational data structures, and reporting systems
Proven experience in system integration projects (MES, ERP, LIMS, PLM, or related)
Excellent communication skills and proven ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional global environment
Demonstrated ability to de-escalate, keep discussions productive, and focus on outcomes
Expertise in multiple technologies domains (e.g. networks, systems, databases, security, etc.)
Ability to quickly comprehend the functions and capabilities of new technologies
Remains “evergreen” and keeps up-to-date with technology trends and emerging technologies
Demonstrated ability to develop and articulate a vision for one or more technology domains
Proven experience of creating architecture designs using a formal architecture framework methodology – TOGAF, Zachman.
Ability to understand the long-term ("big picture") and short-term perspectives of situations
Strong leadership skills and experience in managing large groups.
Demonstrated ability to work across organizations.
Availability between 3–7 PM CET for overlap with EU and US teams
Fluent in English (spoken and written)
