Junior Java Developer

Corebit systems is a growing software development company working with clients across Europe and the US. We specialize in building scalable, secure and maintainable backend systems tailored to real business needs. We're currently expanding our backend team and looking for a motivated Junior Java Developer who wants to grow in a supportive, projects environment.

Your responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend logic in Java (Spring Boot)
• Collaborate with frontend developers and QA to deliver full-stack features
• Integrate REST APIs, databases, and external services
• Write clean, testable code and follow best practices
• Participate in daily stand-ups and regular code reviews

What we expect from you

• Familiarity with Java and Spring Boot (at least pet projects or bootcamp-level experience)
• Basic understanding of RESTful APIs and HTTP
• Knowledge of SQL and relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL)
• Git basics (you know what a merge conflict is, and you fear it just enough)
• Problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn
• English at a communicative level (written and spoken)

Nice to have

• Experience with Docker, Maven, JUnit
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
• Side projects or contributions to open-source
• Any experience working in a team
