About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Application & AI Cyber Security Engineer to join a global Cyber Security Engineering team. In this role, you will help strengthen the security posture of modern application environments, container platforms, and emerging AI solutions.

You will work across application security, container security, cloud-native technologies, and AI security, partnering with engineering and technology teams to define security standards, assess risks, and validate security controls across a modern enterprise environment.

This is a hands-on engineering role focused on security assessments, technical reviews, governance, and security standards development rather than day-to-day operational ownership of production systems.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain container security standards and best practices.

• Establish security requirements and controls for CI/CD pipelines.

• Conduct application security architecture reviews and security assessments.

• Support software supply chain security initiatives, including dependency and vulnerability management.

• Perform security validation activities, penetration testing reviews, and risk assessments.

• Develop security standards for AI-powered applications and platforms.

• Assess risks related to AI integrations, APIs, and third-party services.

• Design controls protecting against prompt injection, data leakage, and emerging AI threats.

• Partner with engineering teams on workload identity, secrets management, and runtime security.

• Contribute to threat modelling and security reviews across business-critical initiatives.

• Provide security recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience in Application Security, Cyber Security Engineering, Cloud Security, or a similar role.

• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, container security, image scanning, and runtime protection.

• Experience securing CI/CD pipelines and software delivery processes.

• Solid understanding of OWASP principles and secure software development practices.

• Experience with software supply chain security and vulnerability management.

• Understanding of cloud-native architectures and modern application environments.

• Knowledge of AI security concepts, including LLM security, prompt injection risks, model security, and data protection.

• Ability to communicate technical findings clearly to a broad range of stakeholders.

• Fluent English.

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud security tooling and modern security platforms.

• Familiarity with AI governance and enterprise AI adoption.

• Experience within financial services, fintech, or other regulated environments.

• Knowledge of threat modelling and security assurance practices.
