Are you a highly experienced Senior Application Support Engineer or Production Support Engineer with a passion for ensuring the rock-solid stability and performance of critical, high-volume transaction processing systems? What You'll Do Day-to-Day:

Ensure Application Stability: Take ownership of supporting and maintaining the stability of a diverse range of Unix-based Web and API applications, built with open-source technologies like Java, Hadoop, Postgres, and NoSQL.

Incident & Problem Management: Proactively monitor incident queues, troubleshoot complex issues, lead resolution conference calls, and perform thorough Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to prevent recurrence.

Change Management: Actively participate in the planning, deployment, and review of system changes, ensuring smooth and controlled releases in adherence to best practices.

Automation & Scripting: Write and maintain robust scripts (Unix, Python, Perl, Bash) to automate manual tasks, enhance system functionality, and improve performance monitoring.

Proactive Maintenance: Execute proactive maintenance activities and apply operational fixes to maintain system health and prevent downtime.

Client Solutions: Evaluate and provide ongoing technical solutions for issues reported by our clients.

Collaborative Support: Participate in on-call rotations, provide extended support when needed, and collaborate seamlessly with global and offshore teams to ensure 24/7 application and service availability.

Technical Leadership: Contribute to IT initiatives, write programs and scripts to achieve operational objectives, and effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
What We're Looking For (Qualifications):
Basic Qualifications:
-
Minimum of 4 years of professional work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree, or an Advanced Degree.
-
Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in a Production Support or Application Support role.
-
Proficiency with Unix commands and scripting, with exposure to Web/API technologies and expertise in at least one API technology.
-
Proven experience supporting Java applications running in Apache Tomcat, JWS, or similar containers.
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Solid working experience in a 24/7 application support environment, driving high availability in active/active setups.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong automation mindset.
-
Good understanding of ITIL principles (Change, Incident, Problem Management) and experience with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Remedy).
-
Experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD systems (Jenkins, Ansible).
-
Proficiency with log analysis tools (e.g., Splunk) and troubleshooting distributed systems or microservices.
-
Experience with web services (SOAP, REST) and testing tools (SoapUI, Postman).
-
Hands-on expertise with UNIX/Linux operating systems and BASH scripting.
-
Experience with relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL).
-
Excellent ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols (DNS, HTTP, TCP/IP, PKI, SSL/TLS, Digital Certificates, Security Scanning).

Prior working experience with card and transaction domain knowledge.
-
Experience on Kubernetes and Docker Platform.

Python, Perl Scripting Knowledge.

BigData Technologies like Hadoop, Kafka, HIVE.
