CodiLime is a software and network engineering industry expert and the first-choice service partner for top global networking hardware providers, software providers and telecoms. We create proofs-of-concept, help our clients build new products, nurture existing ones and provide services in production environments. The project and the team
We are looking for an open-minded person who will be responsible for delivering the client’s requirements and test development. The project involves providing networking solutions for specific products which are offered to the biggest IT companies in the world.
You will join a team of experts who are truly game-changers and have completed numerous projects in the field of networking, cloud or infrastructure automation and monitoring. As a team member you will work closely with software engineers, network engineers, product owners and QA engineers.
Things to know:
- The development team consists of front-end and back-end developers, network engineers and QA engineers who cooperate closely with the product owner
- We use KANBAN or SCRUM methodology
- The project involves networking but the issues are clearly defined, that you do not need to have a strong networking background
Your role
As a part of the project team, you will be responsible for:
- Designing and implementing new networking solutions
- DevOps and Operating System related development in the areas of: virtual appliances, server installation and configuration
- Developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for building, deploying and configuring developed tools in the project
- working with the engineering & sales engineering teams
Do we have a match?
As a Mid/Senior DevOps Engineer you must meet the following criteria:
- Proof of 5/7+ years of professional experience in the field of Network, DevOps or SysOps. If you are a Developer and want to change your field of expertise you are welcome to apply as well
- Very good knowledge of virtualization, especially KVM, Libvirt or VMware ESXi (vSphere, vCenter)
- Very good knowledge of automation and CI/CD tools (Ansible, Git, GitLab Pipeline)
- Very good knowledge of linux-based operating systems
- Experience with bare metal deployment (pxe boot, ipmi, Dell Redfish library)
- Good knowledge of English (B2 level)
Beyond the criteria above, we would appreciate the nice-to-haves:
- Experience with: Palo Alto Networks PAN-OS or Fortinet FortiGate Forti-OS
- Experience with Hardware Accelerators (SR-IOV, DPDK)
- Knowledge of the networking protocols, databases (PostgreSQL, Redis), script languages such as Python 3.8+
