Senior Magento Engineer

This is a hands-on, operational leadership role within a compliance-critical, high-availability environment. You will manage the Magento 2 ecosystem, including e-commerce storefronts, CMS ownership, and platform integrations with ticketing and booking systems. This role is a perfect blend of high-level engineering and pragmatic production support (BAU).

Responsibilities

• Platform Ownership: Managing Magento 2 storefronts across 3 websites and the associated CMS tooling.

• Integration: Coordinating connectivity between Magento, Akoova (hosting), Ventrata (ticketing), and internal Booking Management Systems.

• Operational Excellence: Handling BAU (Business As Usual) support alongside new change deliveries and security patching.

• Compliance: Ensuring the platform meets GDPR, PCI-DSS, and WCAG 2.1 standards.

Requirements

• Expertise: Deep hands-on experience with Adobe Commerce / Magento 2.

• Backend: Strong PHP engineering (custom modules, performance tuning).

• Infrastructure: Experience with CI/CD, zero-downtime deployments, and Cloud hosting (AWS/GCP/Akoova).

• Nice to Have: Experience with Shopware, WooCommerce, or Headless Commerce.
