Project Manager / SME

We are looking for a highly specialized PM/ Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support a major financial institution in implementing Issuing Products and various payment-related projects. 

In this role, you will act as a bridge between business requirements and technical execution, ensuring that payment card portfolios and digital solutions are managed and deployed according to the highest industry standards.

Engagement Details

• Location: Warsaw, Poland (preferred).

• Rate: 120–150 PLN/h net + VAT (B2B).

• Start Date: ASAP.

• Duration: 12+-month contract.

Responsibilities

• Analysis & Design: Lead functional, business, and IT analysis. Gather product requirements, define project scope, and document business processes to be translated for IT teams.

• Project Management: Lead projects through the full lifecycle—from initiation and planning to execution and closure—ensuring all initiatives stay within scope, budget, and timeline.

• Compliance & Regulatory (Nice to Have): Support projects related to AML/KYC, transaction monitoring, and fraud. Analyze regulatory documentation and implement payment network mandates and upgrades.

• Quality Assurance: Plan comprehensive test scenarios, including positive/negative flows, database collisions, and lifecycle management events.

• Implementation: Drive the implementation and certification of payment products, particularly focusing on digital products and solutions.

Requirements

• Experience: At least 7 years of experience in functional, business, or IT analysis within the Payment Cards and FinTech domain.

• Leadership: Proven track record of coordinating or managing complex projects in financial institutions.

• Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of payment products, services, and the certification process (specifically within the issuing area).

• Analytical Skills: Ability to translate ambiguous information into actionable technical solutions and design solutions for Legal & Compliance departments.

• Communication: Solid verbal and written communication skills in both Polish and English.

• Attributes: High level of initiative, creativity, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
