Job description

Why Join Us

At Cloudfide, we engineer solutions where data truly becomes an accelerator for innovation. We build and evolve large-scale Big Data and cloud-native platforms for global clients, including leaders in retail and the Fortune 500. We process massive, complex datasets, operate fully in the cloud ecosystem, and work with the latest technologies, including AI, ML, MLOps, and modern data architectures.

Our projects have measurable, real‑world impact - from enhancing customer experiences at scale to empowering data-driven decision-making in high‑visibility global organizations. As we continue to grow, you'll have the opportunity to shape solutions, mentor others, drive architecture decisions, and take ownership of strategic initiatives.

Opportunity Overview

As a Mid Integration Engineer (Data Engineer), you will play a key role in connecting and orchestrating the diverse technical components that power our clients' data platforms. Your work sits at the intersection of data engineering, API integration, and workflow automation — bridging custom application APIs, Databricks jobs, Power BI REST API, and GitHub Actions flows into cohesive, reliable end-to-end solutions.

Expect a cloud-native environment (Azure-first), modern integration patterns, and high-visibility solutions used across international organizations and Fortune 500 clients.

You'll join a team of passionate engineers who value technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous growth.

Your Responsibilities

  • Designing and implementing end-to-end integration solutions connecting custom application APIs, Databricks jobs, Power BI REST API, and GitHub Actions workflows.

  • Building and maintaining robust API integrations — consuming, orchestrating, and exposing REST APIs across diverse client environments.

  • Developing and managing Databricks jobs and pipelines as part of broader integration and data processing workflows.

  • Automating GitHub Actions flows to orchestrate data processes, deployments, and cross-system triggers.

  • Integrating with the Power BI REST API to support programmatic management of reports, datasets, and semantic models.

  • Collaborating with data engineers, BI developers, backend engineers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into reliable integration solutions.

  • Troubleshooting and resolving cross-system issues — diagnosing failures across APIs, pipelines, and automation workflows.

  • Following and contributing to best practices in integration design, error handling, logging, and documentation.

What We're Looking For

  • 2+ years of commercial experience as a Data Engineer, Integration Engineer, or in a closely related role.

  • Solid understanding of REST API design and integration patterns — comfortable consuming and orchestrating APIs across multiple systems.

  • Hands-on experience with Databricks — running and managing jobs, understanding pipeline execution and orchestration.

  • Practical knowledge of GitHub Actions for workflow automation, CI/CD, and cross-system triggering.

  • Familiarity with the Power BI REST API or similar programmatic BI interfaces.

  • Strong Python skills — scripting, automation, and API interaction in a data engineering context.

  • Good understanding of cloud environments, preferably Azure.

  • Strong analytical thinking, communication skills, and adaptability — able to navigate complex, multi-system environments and work effectively across teams.

  • Fluent English communication, able to collaborate across international teams and client stakeholders.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Azure services — Key Vault, Azure Repos, Azure Active Directory, or Azure Functions.

  • Familiarity with SQL and relational databases for integration logging and status tracking.

  • Exposure to Databricks Unity Catalog or data governance concepts.

  • Knowledge of event-driven integration patterns or message queue systems.

  • Basic understanding of Power BI semantic models and how they interact with backend data flows.
