Job description:
As a Network Administrator, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation, monitoring, troubleshooting, maintenance, and continuous improvement of enterprise network environments in a managed services model. You will work closely with Service Desk, infrastructure teams, external vendors, and client stakeholders to ensure stable, secure, and well-documented network services.
At cloudatus, you will:
Build, administer, monitor and troubleshoot IP networks in an on-premises environment and based on public cloud
Perform changes in physical and logical network configurations
Provide 2nd line support to system and network users
Create and update technical documentation and operating procedures
Proactively identify, recommend and drive network improvements, changes or upgrades to existing network infrastructure
Required technical and professional expertise:
Knowledge and experience in IP networking in at least one of the following areas: LAN Switching, Routing, SD-WAN
Knowledge of network services like DNS, DHCP, NTP, etc.
Understanding of wired and wireless access technologies (Wi-Fi, 802.1x/EAP etc.)
Hands-on experience with network products and solutions (e.g. routers and switches, wireless controllers, Access Points, network firewalls etc.)
Knowledge of the network configuration of the server operating systems (Windows, Linux)
Knowledge of Fortinet/Zscaler solutions is preferred but not mandatory
Nice to have
Willingness and readiness to communicate directly with customers IT teams while handling and resolving support requests
A customer-focused, problem-solving mindset, with the ability to understand and empathize with the customer’s perspective
Experience working in an SLA-driven support or managed services environment
Familiarity with ITIL-based incident, request, change, and escalation processes
German language skills
This role requires collaboration with customers from all around the world, therefore fluency in English is required (minimum B2 level). German language will be a huge benefit.
