As an Infrastructure Administrator, you will be responsible for the day-to-day administration, support, monitoring, and maintenance of server and infrastructure environments across on-premises and cloud platforms. You will help ensure stability, availability, and operational continuity of core infrastructure services in a managed services model. This role combines hands-on administration, troubleshooting, patching, backup, documentation, and close cooperation with Service Desk, infrastructure teams and customers in an ITIL-aligned environment.
At cloudatus, you will:
Administer and maintain on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure environments
Support server, storage, virtualization, backup, and monitoring solutions in production environments
Perform routine maintenance, patching, updates, and configuration changes in line with operational procedures
Troubleshoot incidents and infrastructure-related issues to restore services and minimize downtime
Create and maintain clear technical documentation, configuration records, and operational knowledge base materials
Work closely with Service Desk and other technical teams to ensure effective ticket handling and escalation
Support continuous improvement of infrastructure services and operational standards
Required technical and professional expertise:
Very good knowledge of the on-premises infrastructure based on Windows Server technologies (Active Directory, File Server, Certificate Services etc.)
Strong background in configuration and management of min. one virtualization platform (VMware, Hyper-V, Proxmox)
Hands-on experience with backup and monitoring solutions
Experience in servers/application/databases migration
Knowledge of Azure public cloud
Nice to have:
Familiarity with administration of Linux based operation systems
willingness and readiness to communicate directly with customers while handling and resolving support requests
a customer-focused, problem-solving mindset, with the ability to understand and empathize with the customer’s perspective
patience, attention to detail, and composure in high-pressure or crisis situations
experience working in an SLA-driven support or managed services environment
familiarity with ITIL-based incident, request, change, and escalation processes
German language skills
This role requires collaboration with customers from all around the world, therefore fluency in English is required (minimum B2 level). German language will be a huge plus.
