Infrastructure Administrator

We seek new talents to join our engineering teams to advance our international projects, where we build on collective competence and configure different types of infrastructure: cloud based, hybrid, on-premises.  

As an Infrastructure Administrator, you will be responsible for the day-to-day administration, support, monitoring, and maintenance of server and infrastructure environments across on-premises and cloud platforms. You will help ensure stability, availability, and operational continuity of core infrastructure services in a managed services model. This role combines hands-on administration, troubleshooting, patching, backup, documentation, and close cooperation with Service Desk, infrastructure teams and customers in an ITIL-aligned environment. 

At cloudatus, you will:  

• Administer and maintain on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure environments  

• Support server, storage, virtualization, backup, and monitoring solutions in production environments  

• Perform routine maintenance, patching, updates, and configuration changes in line with operational procedures  

• Troubleshoot incidents and infrastructure-related issues to restore services and minimize downtime  

• Create and maintain clear technical documentation, configuration records, and operational knowledge base materials 

• Work closely with Service Desk and other technical teams to ensure effective ticket handling and escalation  

• Support continuous improvement of infrastructure services and operational standards 

Required technical and professional expertise:  

• Very good knowledge of the on-premises infrastructure based on Windows Server technologies (Active Directory, File Server, Certificate Services etc.)  

• Strong background in configuration and management of min. one virtualization platform (VMware, Hyper-V, Proxmox) 

• Hands-on experience with backup and monitoring solutions  

• Experience in servers/application/databases migration  

• Knowledge of Azure public cloud  

Nice to have: 

• Familiarity with administration of Linux based operation systems 

• willingness and readiness to communicate directly with customers while handling and resolving support requests  

• a customer-focused, problem-solving mindset, with the ability to understand and empathize with the customer’s perspective  

• patience, attention to detail, and composure in high-pressure or crisis situations  

• experience working in an SLA-driven support or managed services environment  

• familiarity with ITIL-based incident, request, change, and escalation processes  

• German language skills 

This role requires collaboration with customers from all around the world, therefore fluency in English is required (minimum B2 level). German language will be a huge plus.
