We are now looking for a world-class developer to our engineering team, who will be a key player in propelling Centra into the global arena of e-commerce.

To continue our quest for greatness, we need to find professional, passionate, and talented developers who can work fast and think outside the box – while always keeping an eye out for the details. This year's goals include improving our multi-tenant architecture and creating a brand new GraphQL API.

What we’re looking for

• Someone ambitious. We are all ambitious and our goal is to build a world-class product.
• Good understanding of modern PHP 8.3 and modern programming in general. GO is a plus.
• Passion for writing beautiful, minimalistic code that is easy to understand and maintain.
• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills in general.
• Team spirit and a good eye for detail (useful for code reviews!)

Team

We have multiple teams working on different products. You may have a strong preference for some technologies or products, so based on the interview and your feedback you will have an opportunity to join a team that is right for you. 

All teams work within the boundaries of the Scrum framework. If you like to do pair programming or apply other techniques, you are welcome to do so. We try to avoid having long meetings (or having a lot of them) and we put a lot of focus on fast and efficient communication inside the team (Slack, Google Meet, face-to-face).

Our recruitment process

We want to make sure Centra is the right fit for you—just as much as you’re the right fit for us. Here’s what you can expect from our recruitment process:

1. Introductory Interview

This is where we get to know each other! We’ll introduce you to Centra—our product, culture, and the role itself. We’ll also discuss your experience, expectations and what you’re looking for in your next challenge. (Online, 30–45 min)

2. Maki Assessments

You’ll receive an invitation to complete short online assessments that evaluate your problem-solving and language skills. This helps us understand how you think and communicate. (Online, ~30 min)

3. Technical Interview

This stage focuses on the technical aspects of the role. You’ll engage in discussions and tasks designed to showcase your skills in a real-world context. (Online, 1.5–2h)

4. Cultural Fit Interview

At this final stage, we’ll talk about your past experiences, your future at Centra, and how you approach the intersection of technology, business, and people. This is also a great chance for you to experience our office environment and meet some of the team! (On-site, 1h)
