Key Responsibilities

As a Senior UI Developer, you will:

• Participate in all stages of delivery - from requirements gathering to post-release customer support
• Build new functionality while ensuring adherence to existing coding patterns
• Own and collaborate on technical design decisions
• Break large projects into manageable tasks and coordinate delivery across the team
• Coach other developers to minimize review iterations
• Drive requirements and development efforts in a global, multi-location environment
• Develop towards becoming a senior full-stack developer

Essential Technical Skills

• 7+ years of relevant JavaScript/TypeScript development experience
• Expert level proficiency in React, Redux, RxJS, NPM/Yarn, Webpack, CSS, and HTML
• Strong software design principles and knowledge of design patterns
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps)
• Proven ability to design and code solutions for complex business problems
• Experience building complex, real-time event-driven single page applications
• Performance optimization experience for latency-sensitive systems
• Full-stack delivery experience
• Clear, efficient coding practices with strong communication skills

Preferred Technical Experience

• Java backend technology stack knowledge
• Financial Markets domain knowledge, particularly investment banking
• Derivatives product knowledge
• E-trading technology experience

Key Soft Skills

• Effective communicator with fluent English (speaking and writing)
• Experienced in driving requirements and development efforts
• End-to-end system design, development, and support experience
• Proactive, autonomous self-starter
• Strong problem-solving abilities with ownership mindset
• Comfortable dealing with ambiguity

Additional Responsibilities

• Participate in technical roadmap definition
• Take ownership of assigned features and ensure successful delivery
• Engage in technical design and delivery processes
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives
• Participate in hiring and peer coaching activities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent (STEM preferred)
• Strong foundation in SDLC methodologies including Agile
• Experience with distributed systems and microservices architecture
• Knowledge of integration protocols including REST & WebSocket
• Familiarity with DevOps technologies and containerization
