Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Business Analyst to join a leading Financial Markets Risk Technology team, supporting the delivery of strategic initiatives across a global trading platform. This is a long-term contract opportunity based in Warsaw, offering hybrid working arrangements.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the design, integration, and enhancement of a high-performance risk and PnL platform used across multiple asset classes. This role requires deep domain expertise in financial markets, strong technical acumen, and proven experience working in front office environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with traders, quants, and technology teams to gather and translate business requirements into functional specifications

• Lead the design and implementation of solutions across the full trade lifecycle, from trade capture to settlement

• Drive product onboarding and system integration initiatives across FX, Rates, Options, and Swaps

• Produce detailed API specifications and interface documentation for development teams

• Support the delivery of enhancements to the strategic risk and PnL platform, ensuring alignment with business needs

• Facilitate workshops, stakeholder sessions, and Agile ceremonies

• Contribute to architecture and design discussions, bringing a strong understanding of trading systems and data flows

Required Experience

• Minimum 6–10 years of experience as a Business Analyst in Financial Markets

• Proven track record in front office or middle office environments; direct experience working on a trading desk or as an ex-developer is highly desirable

• Deep understanding of FX, Rates, Options, and Swaps

• Strong knowledge of the full trade lifecycle and product lifecycle

• Experience with product onboarding and system integration

• Ability to write and interpret API specifications

• Familiarity with platforms such as Murex, Calypso, or Wallstreet is a significant advantage

• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

• Experience working in Agile delivery environments

Desirable Skills

• Exposure to microservices architecture, Kafka, SQL, and ElasticSearch

• Functional programming knowledge

• Experience with risk and PnL systems in a low-latency trading environment
