Senior Java Developer | Investment Banking

Global markets move fast — and the technology behind them has to move even faster.

A Tier 1 investment bank is building a next-generation trading platform, currently in beta, designed to support a large and demanding population of market traders.

It’s a strategic initiative for the business and engineered for high performance, resilience, and configurability.

You'll be working on the bank's Intraday Risk platform, built using Event Driven architecture and Kafka, forming the backbone of real-time risk calculations and decision making.

This is a multi-year B2B engagement, working on hire performance systems where reliability, scalability and elegant design are non-negotiable.

In this role, you’ll be involved in the full delivery lifecycle:

• Building new functionality

• Owning and collaborating on technical design

• Coaching others to reduce review cycles

• Driving best practices across the team

You will bring:

• 8+ years of experience in Java

• Deep expertise in Azure, Kafka and microservices

• Experience in financial markets, ideally within investment banking

• Experience with intraday risk

Location: Warsaw (with just one day per month in the office)
