About the Opportunity

Join the expanding global data engineering team at a leading investment bank and play a crucial role in building next-generation banking analytics infrastructure. You'll be part of a dynamic ~10-person team distributed across Poland, Singapore, India, Hong Kong, and London, working collaboratively on a comprehensive banking analytics platform that drives critical business decisions.

What You'll Be Working On

• Data Pipeline Development: Build robust, scalable data pipelines to process daily loads from complex banking systems
• Real-Time Analytics: Develop cutting-edge real-time reporting capabilities featuring dynamic charts and live data updates
• Process Automation: Transform manual processes for loan portfolio management and performance analytics into automated, efficient workflows
• Technology Innovation: Work with modern, industry-leading tech stack including Apache Airflow, Nifi, ClickHouse, Postgres, and MongoDB
• Full-Stack Development: Leverage Java and/or Python development skills (both skill sets are highly valued)
• Performance Optimization: Focus on high-volume data processing and system performance enhancement

What We're Looking For

Essential Skills

• Strong ETL/ELT pipeline development expertise with proven track record of building production-grade data workflows
• High-volume data processing experience with focus on performance optimization and scalability
• Proficiency in Java and/or Python - we value both skill sets and welcome specialists in either language
• Experience with data orchestration tools (Apache Airflow experience preferred)
• Strong understanding of database technologies and data storage solutions
• Problem-solving mindset with ability to work independently and as part of a distributed team

Preferred Experience

• Banking or financial services background (advantageous but not required)
• Experience with real-time data processing and streaming technologies
• Knowledge of cloud platforms and modern data architecture patterns
• Familiarity with data visualization and reporting tools
• Previous experience working in global, distributed teams
