Senior Infrastructure Consultant (Backup)

Your role

As a Backup Specialist, you ensure reliable and secure data protection within enterprise environments by managing backup and recovery solutions. You play a key role in maintaining backup consistency, restore readiness, and service quality in line with SLAs and security standards. Working closely with infrastructure and application teams, you support stable operations while continuously improving backup processes and ensuring compliance with data protection requirements.

Your tasks

• Operate and maintain enterprise backup and recovery solutions

• Monitor backup jobs, identify failures, and perform troubleshooting

• Execute restore requests and support data recovery activities

• Ensure proper configuration of backup policies, schedules, and retention rules

• Perform regular checks of backup success rates and system health

• Investigate and resolve incidents related to backup and data loss

• Collaborate with infrastructure, storage, server, and application teams

• Maintain documentation, procedures, and continuous service improvements

Your profile

• You have hands‑on experience with enterprise backup tools (e.g., Veeam, Commvault, NetBackup, TSM/Spectrum Protect)

• You understand backup concepts such as full, incremental, differential backups, retention, and replication

• You bring knowledge of Windows and/or Linux environments and virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper‑V)

• You understand storage concepts and enterprise IT operations

• You have experience in incident handling and service operations

• You apply a structured, detail‑oriented approach and demonstrate strong problem‑solving skills

• You communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with technical teams and stakeholders

• You show ownership, reliability, and are open to on‑call or shift‑based work
