Business Tester – Financial Services & Payments

We are seeking a meticulous and business-oriented Business Tester to join our QA team within the financial services and payments domain. You will play a critical role in validating complex financial systems from a business user perspective, ensuring that payment workflows, transaction integrity, and compliance requirements are met across platforms.

This role involves close collaboration with other testers, developers, and business stakeholders to execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT), regression testing, and cross-VS validation in a fast-paced, regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute UAT scenarios focused on financial transactions, payment flows, and business logic validation.

• Perform regression testing to ensure stability across releases, especially in high-risk areas like settlement, reconciliation, and compliance.

• Conduct cross-VS testing to validate consistency across trading systems, payment gateways, and reporting platforms.

• Collaborate with business analysts and product owners to understand financial requirements and translate them into test cases.

• Document test cases, results, and defects with precision, ensuring traceability and audit readiness.

• Participate in test planning and coordination with QA and development teams.

• Validate integrations with third-party financial systems, APIs, and payment processors.

• Support release cycles by testing changes in staging and production environments.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in business testing within the financial services or payments sector.

• Strong understanding of payment workflows, transaction lifecycles, and financial regulations.

• Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, HP ALM).

• Ability to write and execute test cases based on business and compliance requirements.

• Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.

• Analytical mindset with attention to detail and risk awareness.

• Experience with SWIFT, SEPA, or real-time payment systems.

• Knowledge of AML/KYC compliance and financial reporting.

• Familiarity with automation tools or scripting (optional).

• Understanding of Agile methodologies and sprint-based testing cycles.
