Senior Azure Platform Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Senior Azure Platform Engineer, who will support our global customers mainly in the pharmaceutical and FMCG industry in building innovative big data products and services.  🚀

📝 You will be responsible for:

• Designing, deploying, and maintaining Azure resources using Terraform, ensuring proper module structure, dependency management, and state consistency

• Managing and optimizing GitHub repositories, branching strategies, and CI/CD workflows in Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions

• Configuring and supporting Azure networking components

• Implementing and enforcing Azure security and governance standards

• Developing and managing Azure Databricks environments

• Building, standardizing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for various artifacts

• Designing and implementing monitoring, logging, and observability solutions

• Defining and documenting platform-wide standards, guidelines, and best practices

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure secure, scalable, and reliable cloud platform services

• Supporting colleagues by sharing expertise, providing technical guidance, and contributing to knowledge transfer within the team.

👉 What you will need:

• Strong experience in deploying Azure resources via Terraform (modules, dependencies, environment-specific configuration, managing TF state)

• Solid working knowledge of GitHub and Git branching strategies

• Strong knowledge of Azure networking concepts (VNets, subnets, NSGs, private endpoints, DNS, routing)

• Solid knowledge of Azure security & governance (RBAC, managed identities vs service principals, ACLs, Key Vault)

• Familiarity with the Azure Landing Zones concept

• Experience with Azure Databricks (Unity Catalog, networking, workspaces; ideally also Databricks Asset Bundles, AIM/SCIM, permission model)

• Experience with building CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.

• Experience designing and implementing monitoring, logging, and observability solutions (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, diagnostic settings, alerts)

• Ability to work independently and drive topics end-to-end (e.g. design platform-wide logging/monitoring rules and deploy them; configure Power BI Gateway for private connectivity; create CI/CD templates for Power BI/ADF artifacts)

• Ability to create platform standards, guidelines and best practices and document them
