Role Overview

For our Client we are looking for a qualified partner for Senior DevOps / SysOps Engineer (m/f/d) position with a strong Linux infrastructure background and broad operational experience. This role is ideal for someone who combines classic senior SysAdmin expertise with modern automation and DevOps practices. You will work across Linux systems, security, automation, virtualization, CI/CD, and infrastructure operations. We are looking for an engineer with deep technical understanding, strong troubleshooting skills, and hands-on experience in complex enterprise environments. This is not a narrowly specialized corporate role - we are looking for someone versatile, pragmatic, and technically independent.

The position is fully remote.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and operating system issues (L3/L4 level)

• Manage and support virtualization environments (KVM)

• Work with container platforms and containerized workloads (Podman preferred)

• Configure and maintain Linux security mechanisms, including SELinux

• Build and improve automation and operational tooling using Bash, Python, and Ansible

• Support and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes (Jenkins or similar)

• Monitor, optimize, and improve system reliability, stability, and performance

• Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams on operational improvements and deployment processes

• Participate in root cause analysis, incident resolution, and platform hardening

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience as DevOps Engineer, SysOps Engineer, or Senior Linux System Administrator

• Deep understanding of Linux systems, operating system internals, and infrastructure architecture

• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills (advanced production support / L3+)

• Experience with Linux security and system hardening, especially SELinux

• Hands-on experience with scripting and automation using Bash and Python

• Experience with automation/configuration management tools such as Ansible

• Good knowledge of virtualization technologies, especially KVM

• Experience with containerization tools (Podman preferred)

• Understanding of CI/CD concepts and tools such as Jenkins

• Broad cross-functional infrastructure knowledge

Nice to Have

• Networking knowledge and troubleshooting skills

• Experience with monitoring and observability tools:

  • Zabbix

  • OpenSearch

  • Data Prepper

  • Fluent Bit

• Basic PostgreSQL administration knowledge
