Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled CI/CD Engineer with strong experience in Jenkins-based pipeline design, a solid Linux systems background, and a strong understanding of network and security concepts. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain a secure, enterprise-grade CI/CD solution, aligned with the proposed architecture, integrating source control, artifact management, automated testing, security controls, and deployment workflows.
This role is hands-on and requires both engineering execution and collaborative problem-solving across infrastructure, networking, security, and application teams.
Your responsibilities would be to:
Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins for multiple environments (dev, test, staging, production).
Collaborate with platform, network, security, and application teams to implement the target CI/CD architecture, including:
Secure Jenkins controllers and agents
Integration with Git-based source control systems
Artifact management using JFrog Artifactory
Containerized build and delivery workflows using Podman
Implement pipeline-as-code using Jenkinsfiles and shared libraries.
Enhance and maintain CIS Level 1 (CIS1) hardening across CI/CD building blocks, including:
RHEL-based systems
KVM virtualization environments
Manage and troubleshoot Linux-based build and runtime environments, including system configuration, patching, performance tuning, and security hardening.
Integrate CI/CD workflows with:
Issue tracking systems (e.g., Jira)
Artifact promotion and versioning processes
Monitoring and security tooling
Apply networking best practices within CI/CD and platform environments, including:
VLANs, routing, and firewall rules
Proxies and DMZ-based architectures
Secure service-to-service communication
Implement access controls, secrets management, and network segmentation aligned with enterprise security policies.
Support regression testing, quality gates, and approval workflows prior to deployment.
Monitor pipeline health, improve reliability, and optimize build performance.
Produce and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and compliance evidence.
What you need
3+ years of hands-on experience with Jenkins in production environments.
Strong understanding of CI/CD and DevOps best practices
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
Proven experience implementing or enhancing CIS Level 1 (CIS1) benchmarks on:
Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
KVM-based infrastructure
Databases
Good experience working with Linux systems:
Bash/shell scripting
Services, logging, and troubleshooting
Hands-on experience with:
Podman for container build and execution
JFrog Artifactory for artifact storage, dependency management, and promotion
Good understanding of network concepts, including:
TCP/IP, DNS, and routing
Firewalls, proxies, and load balancing
Segmented networks (VLANs, DMZs)
Nice-to-Have:
Experience in enterprise, regulated, or security-sensitive environments.
Knowledge or hands-on experience with security monitoring and hardening tools, including:
Wazuh (SIEM / HIDS)
Zabbix, preferably hardened according to CIS1 guidelines
Familiarity with:
Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Terraform)
Secure container and virtualization platforms
Experience supporting multi-zone or air-gapped CI/CD architectures.
Understanding of compliance, audit readiness, and security governance.
