As a Mobile App Engineer, you will be an integral part of our cross-functional e-commerce team. You will work closely with product management, UX/UI designers, and backend developers to implement innovative and customer-centric mobile solutions.

Your Mission

You develop high-quality and scalable mobile solutions for our e-commerce platform with passion and technical expertise. Through your commitment to clean, testable code and an outstanding user experience, you will make a significant contribution to continuously improving our app's performance and customer satisfaction.

Your focus is on Flutter development, but you also understand the integration with our backend systems and the requirements of native platforms (iOS/Android).

Your tasks in detail

• Technical Conception & Development:

  • Analyze, design, and implement new features and improvements for our existing mobile app – from the initial idea to going live.

  • Translate complex requirements and high-quality UI/UX designs pixel-perfectly into performant and maintainable Flutter widgets.

  • Continuously optimize the app in terms of performance, stability, and memory usage.

  • Conduct code reviews and promote the use of clean code, effective state management, and testing (unit, widget, integration tests).

• App Lifecycle & Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure high development standards, robust testing processes, and technical documentation for the mobile domain.

  • Manage the entire release process, including the submission and updating of the app in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

  • Ensure compliance with respective store guidelines and manage certificates and provisioning profiles.

  • Analyze crash reports (e.g., Firebase Crashlytics) and proactively fix bugs.

• Collaboration & Interfaces:

  • Work closely with product management and UX/UI design to specify requirements, realistically estimate development efforts, and implement solutions effectively.

  • Actively promote knowledge transfer between mobile development and the existing online shop development teams (e.g., through pair programming, joint code reviews, or tech talks) and thus bring innovative ideas to the entire e-commerce area.

  • Specify and implement the integration with our e-commerce backend systems (e.g., via REST-APIs or GraphQL).

• Mobile CI/CD & Operations:

  • Support the operation and monitoring of the app's performance.

  • Actively help to continuously improve our CI/CD pipelines for mobile (e.g., Codemagic, Fastlane, GitHub Actions).

What you bring

• At least 3 years of practical experience in mobile software development, ideally in an e-commerce environment.

• Solid, multi-year experience in Flutter development and the Dart programming language.

• Proven experience with the entire app release process (Apple App Store & Google Play Store), including store guidelines and certificate handling.

• Very good knowledge of common state management solutions (e.g., Riverpod, Bloc, or Provider).

• Experience with integrating REST-APIs or GraphQL interfaces and handling JSON.

• A high degree of quality awareness for clean code, testing (unit, widget), and technical documentation.

• Broad experience with mobile CI/CD tools (e.g., Fastlane, Codemagic) and an affinity for agile working methods.

• Experience with push notifications (e.g., Firebase Cloud Messaging) and in-app analytics.

• Knowledge of native development (Swift/Kotlin) or platform channels is a plus.

• Strong team and communication skills for close, cooperative collaboration with our existing online shop teams.

• Affinity for Agentic Coding (e.g., with tools like Claude Code or GitHub Copilot).

• Active exchange within the (Flutter) developer community and the willingness to bring new knowledge and innovative ideas to the team.
