About Black Label:
Black Label is a specialized IT services consultancy that develops innovative dataviz-rich interfaces and apps. For almost two decades Black Label has worked with over 150 clients and IT Partners from around the world as consultants and developers of dataviz-rich interfaces and apps. We are built on community and our superpower is building small, close-knit teams. Now, you can join one of them to work closely with our Norwegian partner, creator of the Highcharts library.
Tech Stack:
Must-have: JavaScript (ES6+), HTML/CSS.
Nice-to-have: TypeScript, Git, any framework (React, Vue, Angular, Svelte), Cypress/QUnit, Browser DevTools, SVG.
About You:
- Are You Familiar with JavaScript/TypeScript and SVG? Awesome!
- Do you have a knack for understanding clients’ needs and explaining technical solutions in a clear and approachable way? That’s the kind of skill we’re looking for.
- Ever contributed to a JavaScript library, participated in an open-source project, or explored data visualization tools? We admire initiative and curiosity like that.
- Don’t speak Norwegian? No worries. But English is a must - you’ll be communicating with clients from all over the globe.
- Still in university or a recent graduate? Tell us about your involvement in extra projects or student organizations. We value initiative.

What you’ll do at Black Label:
- You’ll be learning a lot. We’ll teach you everything we know to help you quickly become an independent support engineer.
- You’ll follow a tailored learning program designed to help you progress fast.
- You’ll be part of a team of dataviz enthusiasts who value openness and collaboration.
- You’ll combine technical expertise with creative problem-solving to support clients from all over the globe.
- You’ll work with a global Open Source library - finding and fixing bugs, adding new features and tests, and writing the documentation needed to keep things clear and simple.
- You’ll help clients integrate Highcharts into their projects, answering questions and troubleshooting issues.
- You’ll collaborate with developers and product teams to continuously improve the library and enhance user experience.
- You’ll build a solid foundation in debugging, API usage, and chart customization while growing your skills in frontend development.
- You’ll assist clients via live chat and, in the future, resolve their issues on live calls.
