Release Train Engineer
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Release Train Engineer (RTE) to lead and optimize the delivery of our Product Knowledge and Training Solutions. In this role, you will coordinate multiple Agile teams and stakeholders to ensure the successful and timely delivery of software products.
You will work closely with Product Management, Engineering, and Quality Assurance teams, facilitating Agile Release Trains (ARTs) and ensuring alignment across teams, processes, and delivery goals. The ideal candidate combines strong Agile leadership, technical understanding (solution architecture and content management), and facilitation skills to drive efficient and high-quality releases.
Key Responsibilities
Facilitate and lead Agile Release Trains (ARTs), coordinating multiple Agile teams to deliver value to customers on time and within scope.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying and implementing process enhancements to optimize delivery efficiency.
Foster a culture of collaboration, transparency, and accountability across Agile teams and stakeholders.
Act as a servant leader, coaching and mentoring teams on Agile principles, Scrum practices, and SAFe methodologies.
Collaborate with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and stakeholders to define and prioritize features, epics, and user stories.
Coordinate cross-team dependencies and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and smooth delivery.
Facilitate Agile ceremonies including:
PI Planning
Iteration Planning
Daily Stand-ups
Sprint Reviews
Inspect & Adapt workshops
Monitor and track progress against delivery objectives, proactively addressing impediments and risks.
Provide visibility into release status, metrics, and KPIs to stakeholders and leadership.
Ensure compliance with Project Management Methodology (PMM) and GxP documentation requirements where applicable.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Release Train Engineer, Agile Program Manager, or similar role in Agile software development environments.
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, Scrum, and SAFe frameworks.
Experience facilitating Agile Release Trains and coordinating multiple teams.
Excellent communication, facilitation, and leadership skills.
Experience monitoring delivery performance and resolving impediments, risks, and dependencies.
Nice to Have
Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification.
SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) or other SAFe certifications.
Experience working in regulated environments requiring GxP compliance.
Background in content management, knowledge management, or training platforms.
Experience supporting enterprise-scale Agile transformations.Working Hours: Alignment with US/Canada time zones required (primarily afternoon–evening CET)
