We're looking for an experienced PostgreSQL Architect / Expert to join an exciting greenfield project focused on building a modern data processing platform. This role is critical to ensuring the PostgreSQL platform is scalable, secure, process-aligned, and business-ready.

🧩 Key Responsibilities

Platform Governance & Processes:

• Design and implement PostgreSQL platform governance

• Develop and document operational processes (security, access control, data masking)

• Create strategies and standards across environments (dev/test/pre-prod/prod)

• Standardize configurations and conventions (naming, parameterization, IaC practices)

  
  

Architecture & Deployment:

• Support the creation of a PostgreSQL-based data platform

• Implement technical solutions: CI/CD, backup & restore, monitoring

• Collaborate with application teams on multi-layered system integration

  
  

Hands-On Admin & Optimization:

• Maintain and optimize PostgreSQL instances

• Design and troubleshoot replication (logical & physical, incl. streaming)

• Ensure high availability, performance, and security

• Monitor performance (e.g. with Prometheus, Grafana)

• Manage backups, recovery procedures, and security policies

• Document configurations and operational procedures

  
  

✅ Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in roles like ETL Developer, DB Administrator, Data Architect

• Expert-level knowledge of PostgreSQL (architecture, tuning, replication, admin)

• Experience in greenfield data platform projects

• Strong Linux background and knowledge of networking & storage layers

• Hands-on experience in capacity planning, performance management, and environment standardization

• Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, pgAdmin, pgbouncer, etc.)

• Solid understanding of data security practices, including data masking policies

• Excellent command of English (both spoken and written)
