About the role

We're looking for an experienced Business Analyst with energy trading experience and fluent German skills to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducting detailed requirements analyses for new and existing software projects in the energy trading environment.

• Collaborating with stakeholders such as traders, business managers, and IT teams to gather and document business and functional requirements.

• Creating clear and precise Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), functional specifications, and use cases.

• Working closely with the software development team to translate requirements into high-quality, scalable solutions.

• Identifying optimization potential in processes and developing corresponding recommendations for action.

• Supporting the development and implementation of test strategies to ensure that solutions meet business requirements.

• Fostering communication and ensuring coordination between business units and technical teams.

• Participating in project planning and review meetings, as well as providing regular progress reports.

• Analyzing production incidents, collaborating with developers and other teams (e.g., L2 support) to resolve issues and ensure timely resolution – including root cause analysis and providing workarounds or permanent solutions.

Requirements:

·       Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

·       Good Communication and teamwork skills.

·       Proficient in business analysis methods and tools.

·       Experience with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.

·       Experience in Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM); knowledge of Allegro ETRM is a definite advantage.

·       Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

·       Proficient in tools such as Azure DevOps, JIRA, and Confluence.

·       High degree of flexibility in handling changing priorities and parallel tasks.

·       Strong attention to detail and high quality standards.

·       Fluent English in speech and writing (at least B2/C1).

·       Fluent German in speech and writing (at least B2/C1).
