We are searching for a Platform/system engineer (senior) - Nykredit

For this role, we are looking for a talented engineer to join Nykredit – one of the banks BEC Poland works closely with.

You will be working in our modern office in the center of Warsaw, Poland where you will join our Integration Platforms team in the Cloud Engineering department. The team is in charge of developing our new API management platform, our event management platform and our managed file transfer platform – all platforms are to be used by developers across delivery teams.

The cloud platform engineer role offers a great opportunity to work with both the Azure cloud platform and Kafka technology. You will be contributing indirectly to business value by delivering platform and tech-related value to the more business-oriented value stream teams. At Nykredit, we prefer to collaborate often in the office, but we also keep the opportunity to work remotely up to 8 days per month. Your direct manager will be Marie Sjølund Jensen.

Primary task and responsibilities include:

• Daily tasks include development of the company-wide eventing platform enabling event-driven architecture to ensure high availability, scalability, and fault tolerance.
• Also, you will help with development of a robust API management platform on Azure to enable other development teams to create, deploy, and monitor their APIs efficiently
• Investigate into and perform analysis of new technologies to measure their fit, development of supporting services, pipelines and configurations, as well as aiding value-stream teams in adopting the shared API management and eventing platforms.
• You will be working with the colleagues in the Integration Platform team, consisting of 2 architects, 3 senior developers and 3 platform engineers, well as other stakeholders across Nykredit and external vendors.
• A few times a year we will gather in Denmark.
• We work in an agile set-up.

To succeed you will have:   

• Have experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud and event platforms
• Have solid experience with config-as-code, infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and/or Bicep
• Have at least 5 years of experience in a similar role
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• A curious mind with an open nature and desire to knowledge-share with others
• Appreciate engaging in team discussions on work topics, including considerations about requirements, design, governance, compliance
• Are inquisitive by nature, not afraid to ask new questions or ask to clarify your understanding
• Are able and willing to reach out to identified contact persons to achieve clarifications when needed

It’s nice-to-have experience with:

• API Management platform(s)
• Confluent Cloud
• Event Driven Architecture in general
• OAuth protocol and its various auth flows
