Senior Application and IT Systems Administrator (Hybrid - Warsaw)

DevAbundance is partnering with a leading fintech brand to find a highly experienced Application and IT Systems Administrator to join their infrastructure team. This is a hybrid position (2 days remote, 3 days from the office in Warsaw) with a start date as soon as the candidate successfully completes the interview process.

Employment Contract (UoP): 14,000 - 16,000 PLN gross.

About the Role: 

As an Application and IT Systems Administrator, you will join our client’s infrastructure team to manage, monitor, and maintain the core system, including application servers, databases, and other infrastructure components. You will work in a non-corporate, friendly atmosphere where 11 experts share knowledge to help you achieve real professional development. You will focus on automating operational processes, ensuring the stability and security of the platform, and collaborating with development teams to resolve technical issues.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Manage, monitor, and maintain the core system 

• Automate operational processes using Ansible, Terraform, and scripting languages in a Linux environment

• Create alerts and dashboards in monitoring systems (Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk) for proactive problem detection

• Implement and test new solutions ensuring higher application stability and infrastructure security

• Participate in incident response, conduct post-mortem analyses, and implement improvements

• Perform night and weekend on-call duties according to the schedule (remote on-call)

Candidate Profile:

• Strong expertise in application administration within a Linux environment

• Good knowledge of a selected Linux distribution and shell tools (Bash)

• Experience configuring and maintaining application and database servers

• Knowledge of SQL and experience working with databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL)

• Ability to analyze logs, resolve application issues, and optimize performance

• Basic knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)

• Experience with payment systems or in the fintech sector is a plus

• Knowledge of automation tools (Ansible, Terraform) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab) is beneficial

• Familiarity with Cloud platforms (GCP, Azure or AWS) and monitoring systems (Prometheus, Splunk, Grafana) is highly valued

Interview Process:

1. Phone screening: 20 minute get to know you for you to learn about the project

2. 1st office (Warsaw) interview: 1 hour with future manager and HR specialist

3. 2nd office (Warsaw) interview: 1 hour with infrastructure and HR leaders
