Senior Linux Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Senior Linux Engineer to design, operate, and support enterprise Linux systems in a production environment. The role involves system administration, automation, security hardening, and operational support, with close collaboration across infrastructure, security, and application teams.

The ideal candidate has strong hands‑on Linux experience, a deep understanding of system reliability and security, and the ability to work effectively in business‑critical environments.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, operate, and support enterprise Linux platforms in on‑premises and cloud environments (GCP, Azure)

• Ensure system stability, availability, performance, and security across production and non‑production systems

• Perform regular patching and hardening of Linux systems and ensure compliance with internal standards and industry best practices

• Implement, maintain, and improve automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions

• Support BAU / Run operations, including incident management, troubleshooting, and root‑cause analysis

• Participate in change management, upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management activities

• Collaborate with security, network, storage, and application teams to resolve complex technical issues

• Participate in audit and compliance activities, providing required technical documentation and evidence

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, improving reliability and operational efficiency

• Participate in an on‑call rotation to support critical systems

Required skills:

• Strong hands‑on experience as a Linux System Administrator / Engineer in enterprise environments

• In‑depth knowledge of Linux operating systems (e.g. Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Oracle Linux)

• Understanding of system hardening and security best practices

• Experience supporting mission‑critical production systems

• Proficiency in automation and configuration management, such as:

  • Ansible

  • Terraform (or similar IaC tools)

• Solid scripting skills (e.g. Bash, Python, or similar)

• Experience with monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting tools

• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively

• Strong documentation and communication skills

• Exposure to cloud platforms (GCP, Azure)

Nice to have:

• Experience with clustered or high‑availability solutions (e.g. Pacemaker, Corosync)

• Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines

• Familiarity with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)

• Relevant certifications (e.g. RHCSA, RHCE, RHCA, or equivalent)
