For Digital Hub Warsaw, we are looking for:

Senior Cloud Engineer

Working in a team of cloud infrastructure specialists and engineers, a senior infrastructure engineer builds, administers, supports, and maintains cloud solutions as directed and according to cloud architectural guidelines. Individuals in this role will:

• Ensure cloud services are integrated, delivered, and operated as required

• Work with and support third parties in providing cloud infrastructure services

• Work with software and data engineers to translate technical designs into cloud operations

• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation

• Support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices

• Provide input into overall management – workforce, budget, technology roadmaps, projects, and tasks

• Lead and direct infrastructure specialist teams in building, managing, supporting, and maintaining solutions according to architectural guidelines

Your Tasks & Responsibilities:

Coding and Scripting

• Develop proficiency in the scripting tools and software that are essential in the design, build, management, and operation of cloud infrastructure solutions and services

• Use scripting to automate common cloud infrastructure management and operations tasks

• Proficient in Terraform, Python, and Bash

Cloud Infrastructure Fundamentals

• Design, implement, administer, and support cloud infrastructure technologies and solutions. These technologies and solutions can include computing, storage, networking, physical infrastructure, software, commercial-of-the-shelf (COTS), and opensource packages and solutions. They can also include virtual and cloud computing such an Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS)

Information Security

• Identify information security risks and the controls that can be used to mitigate threats within solutions and services

Modern Standards Approach

• Competently apply a modern standards approach and guide others to do so

Ownership and Initiative

• Own an issue until a new owner has been found or the problem has been mitigated or resolved

Problem Management

• Initiate and monitor actions to investigate pattens and trends to resolve problems

• Effectively consult specialists where required

• Determine the appropriate remedy and assist with its implementation.

• Determine preventative measures

Service Focus

• Take inputs from stakeholders and establish solutions that facilitate the achievement of business objectives

Systems Design

• Design systems characterized by medium levels of risk, impact, and business or technical complexity

• Select appropriate design standards, methods, and tools, and ensure they are applied effectively

• Review the systems designs of others to ensure the selection of appropriate technology, efficient use of resources, and integration of multiple systems and technology

Systems Integration

• Define the integration build

• Co-ordinate build activities across systems

• Understand how to undertake and support integration testing activities

Technical Understanding

• Develop a thorough understanding of the technical concepts required and effectively communicate how these concepts apply to the wider technical landscape of IT

Qualifications & Competencies (education, skills, experience):

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

• Extensive experience (5+) in infrastructure engineering or a related role

• Proven track record of managing large-scale infrastructure projects and leading technical teams

• Significant experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and cloud infrastructure

• Deep expertise in network protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, etc.)

• Comprehensive knowledge of server and storage systems

• Advanced proficiency with virtualization technologies

• Advanced scripting and automation skills

• Exceptional problem-solving skills and the
