The Veeva Platform within Bayer’s IT Technology and Engineering function enables our Business Functions to gain competitive advantage through advanced process and data integration and ultimately helps patients through Bayer's products.

Our contribution is the provisioning and maintenance of state-of-the-art IT platforms and architecture based on deep business process and technology knowledge. To reach our objectives we collaborate with our colleagues in the Commercial (incl. Medical Affairs) and R&D (Research & Development) domains of Clinical Development & Operations, Regulatory Affairs and Quality Management in continuously improving and transforming our solution portfolio.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for a Veeva Cross-Vault Architect (m/f/d) to support our team. The main tasks of the position include:

• You are responsible to drive and evaluate implementation requests impacting multiple Veeva Vault instances including domain settings and the SSO setup and oversee their concrete implementation

• As the Veeva Vault Platform expert you are proactively reviewing new features and capabilities of the Vault Platform and the various Vault products and ensure distribution of relevant knowledge to individual Vault product teams

• You have an overview about the main capabilities each of our Bayer Vault instances are using and propose changes and new relevant features to the individual Vault product teams as well as consulting around configuration, deployment and operations

• In your role as Cross-Vault Architect you are leading the Bayer Vault Architect Community and foster exchange between the members

• You gain knowledge about the Bayer IT landscape focusing on potential impact to the Vault environment, e.g. Identity & Access management, Cyber Security and Integration Platforms

• You foster a close collaboration with global stakeholders within the Bayer Veeva Enablement Platform, the Business functions and Veeva as a service provider

WHO YOU ARE

• University degree in science or information technology, preferably Masters's degree

• Certified Veeva Vault Platform Administrator with more than 5 years of experience in a Vault Architect role

• Proven experience with at least 3 Veeva Vault applications and track record of managing Vault Domain settings

• Preferable business domain knowledge in the pharmaceutical industry, e.g. in Clinical Operations, Regulatory Affairs, Quality or Commercial

• Solid understanding of IT architecture principles and ability to balance theoretical guidance and efficient delivery

• GxP expertise is a plus

• Demonstrated leadership, intercultural and motivational skills to manage a functional IT team and convince stakeholders

• Strong communication, presentation, and decision-making skills

• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
